How to Generate a Traceability Certificate

What a traceability certificate contains

A FuroTrack traceability certificate is a timestamped document generated from records captured in the farm workspace before issue. Depending on the records available, it can cover:

• Issuing farm identity and public certificate reference
• Animal or batch identification, species, breed, and description
• Recorded movement history with dates and locations
• Vaccination records with lot numbers and withdrawal clearance dates where recorded
• Treatment records with withdrawal clearance dates where recorded
• Weight, feed, production, harvest, or sale evidence included before issue
• A QR code that links to the public verification page

Generating a certificate for an individual animal

Open the animal's profile from the Animals list or by scanning their tag. Use the certificate action to issue a certificate, then mint the public QR when you are ready to share it.

The shared link opens a public page — no login required — where your buyer can check the certificate status, subject, claim coverage, evidence summary, and integrity hashes. The QR code links to the same page.

Generating a certificate for a batch

From the Batches list, open the batch record and issue a certificate from the batch's certificate workflow. The certificate represents the batch-level records and claim coverage available at the time of issue.

What the public verification page shows

The public page at furotrack.com/trace/[reference] shows the public certificate payload to anyone with the link or QR code. It is read-only and does not require a FuroTrack account. It checks whether the public payload and certificate payload still match their stored hashes.

Sharing with buyers

Share the public QR code on an invoice, product label, packaging, WhatsApp, or email. The buyer opens it on their phone and reviews the public evidence without a password.

When buyers ask for more

Premium export markets or certification bodies may ask for records in specific formats such as GS1 or EPCIS. FuroTrack has an EPCIS-compatible export foundation that can be configured for Enterprise market requirements.
